we were finalizing
The Legacy of a Country Boy in 2006, we determined
that our best venue to distribute this book of love was to
self-publish. In preparation for doing that, Fox Meadow
Publishing, LLC was formed. Jimmy and I (his wife of almost
32 years) dreamed and planned for the creation and future of
Fox Meadow Publishing.
The photo you see on our home page is that of a meadow at
what used to be Beaver Brook Farm. This beautiful image
always gave us pause and refreshment as we would repeat the
Psalm 23:1-2: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He
maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me
beside the still waters.
As the Psalm continues, so has our life together with the
Lord. Through Jimmy’s health trials and – as with every
living soul – any hardships affecting us or our family, we
have been blessed with God’s unfailing love and promises as
expressed in vs. 3-6: He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in
the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of
the Lord forever. |
